Position Description

Logistics Analyst>span class="normaltextrun"> will provide technical publication support to the Program Executive Officer Land Systems (PEO LS) and will be assigned to directly support the PEO LS Assistant for logistics. Logistics Analyst>span class="normaltextrun"> will be a part of a team that will develop / review / guide / support assigned program acquisition and business documentation (e.g. Lifecycle Support Plans, Sustainment Plans, Sustainment Cost Estimates, Logistics Requirements Funding Requirements Summary, Technical Manual Contract Requirements, BCAs) as required through the acquisition life cycle.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in the development, maintenance, and management of program technical publication to support PEO program objectives.
  • Review technical publications (e.g. Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals, Electronic Technical Manuals, Commercial Manuals, SL-3s and 4s, I-type manuals, Fielding Plans, and Disposal Plans, etc.) in accordance with appropriate MIL-STDs, MIL-DTLs, MIL-HDBKs, USMC/PEO-LS templates, USMC Handbooks, and USMC Orders, Directives and Memos; and provide constructive and critical comments that enhance final products.
  • Revise formatting, content, and publication requirements templates for technical publications.
  • Review and comment on program office submitted draft technical publications verification plans.
  • Participate in the review of new PEO LS Logistics policies and provide process flow charts as requested.
  • Develop, provide input, and submit for review, documentation required to meet contract obligations

 

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management or related field and 7-9 years of direct experience
  • Background in the development / management of military publications required
  • Must have excellent communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and SharePoint

Security Clearance Requirements

Must be able to maintain a Secret security clearance.

 

Travel Requirements

No travel is anticipated.
