Logistics Management Specialist (Life Cycle Logistics Support)

Position Description

Candidate shall have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in sustaining, maintaining equipment (experience with Marine Corps equipment and processes preferred) and understanding of the requirements listed below.  In addition, interested candidates must be located within the local commuting area of Marine Corps Systems Command, Albany, GA and will coordinate with the Lead Logistician in Albany, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Process Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PDQRs), DLA 339’s and NAVMC 10772’s,
  • Track and monitor condition codes and equipment location, updating databases as required when a
  • Validate on-hand serial numbers to match AIS data,
  • Able to comprehend technical information from commercial and government sources and assist in the development/authoring of various types of technical documents and publications in support logistics and programmatic initiatives.
  • The contractor shall maintain access and perform duties utilizing Marine Corps and Defense Logistics Agency logistics automated information systems, such as Technical Data Management Catalyst/Publication System, GCSS-MC, TFSMS, TLCM-OST, Federal Logistics Information System and Fed Mall. The contractor shall have demonstrated mastery of these Log IT systems.
  • Process forms such as Publication Change Requests, Joint Logistics Commander 17/19/43 forms, DLA-1685 Forms, DD 1277 DLA Clothing and Textile Supply Support Packages and DLA Logistics Reassignments.
  • Support system repair part supply chain analysis, management, National Stock Number (NSN) attainment and NSN maintenance in the performance of equipment sustainment activates prior to and post equipment fielding.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise on assigned equipment such as equipment supportability assessments, Fleet Marine Force Support, Limited Technical Inspections and Stock List – 3 inventories.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Technical Publications, Modification Instructions, Supply Instructions, Technical Instructions, Lubrication Instructions, Stock List- 3 and 4s.
  • Able to provide on-site support up to five (5) days per week as directed by the Government.
  • Other tasks as directed by the LFS Program Manager

Education/Experience

This position requires at least four years’ experience in the specific field and a bachelor’s degree (or

eight-years applicable work experience).  Must be fluent with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

Certifications Desired:

ACQ 101 – Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management

LOG 100 – Life Cycle Logistics Fundamentals

CLL 011 – Performance Based Logistics (PBL)

Reports To

This position will report to the Government Lead Logistician for PM CSS for daily tasks and assigned LFS Program Manager.

There is no clearance requirement for this position.

Travel Requirements: Travel is anticipated to be 25% - 30% within the continental United States.
